Terms of Service

Welcome to LocalGoods. These Terms of Service («Terms») govern your access to and use of the LocalGoods platform («Platform», «we», «us»). By accessing or using the Platform, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. Service and Platform
LocalGoods is an online marketplace connecting producers and sellers with consumers. Products are sourced from Greece and other countries; customers may place orders from various regions. LocalGoods operates as a platform and is not the seller of the products; transactions are between seller and buyer, with LocalGoods facilitating the connection, payments, and operation of the marketplace.
2. Accounts and Registration
To buy or sell through the Platform, you may need to register and create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate and up-to-date information.
3. Orders and Transactions
Orders are binding only once confirmed in accordance with the Platform’s flow. Each seller is responsible for the accuracy of prices, descriptions, and availability of their products. LocalGoods does not guarantee the availability of any product and reserves the right to cancel or refuse orders on reasonable grounds (e.g. pricing errors, fraud, breach of these Terms).
4. Payments
Payments are processed through the means supported by the Platform. Prices are displayed in the applicable local currency. LocalGoods or its partners may handle settlement between buyer and seller; taxes and related obligations (e.g. VAT) remain the responsibility of sellers and buyers under applicable law.
5. Shipping and Delivery
Shipping and delivery terms (times, costs, areas) are set by the seller or by Platform policies in effect at the time of sale. LocalGoods is not liable for delays or damage due to carriers or circumstances beyond its control. Buyer and seller are responsible for resolving issues regarding lost or defective products in line with applicable consumer law.
6. Producers and Sellers
Sellers offering products through the Platform must comply with laws applicable in their jurisdiction (food safety, labelling, tax obligations, etc.). LocalGoods reserves the right to remove or restrict access of sellers who breach these Terms or Platform policy.
7. Customers
Buyers must use the Platform in good faith and must not interfere with transactions in a way that harms sellers or other users. Refund requests and consumer rights are governed by applicable law and the Platform’s refund policies.
8. Content and Intellectual Property
Text, graphics, and the LocalGoods logo are owned by LocalGoods or its licensors. Content uploaded by sellers (photos, descriptions) remains their responsibility; by posting it, you grant LocalGoods a non-exclusive licence to use it for operating the Platform.
9. Limitation of Liability
LocalGoods is provided «as is». To the maximum extent permitted by law, LocalGoods is not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages arising from use or inability to use the Platform or from transactions between users. LocalGoods’s total liability is limited to the amount you have paid to LocalGoods for the relevant service under these Terms, except where the law requires otherwise.
10. Changes to the Terms
LocalGoods may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the Platform or by email where feasible. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive courts of Athens, unless the law requires a different jurisdiction (e.g. consumer rights).
